Okayama (岡山)

Momotaro the local hero

The city I fell in love with

Okayama is the city where my wife was born, and it is my favorite place in all of Japan.

It is also the birthplace of the folklore story Momotaro, also known as Peach Boy, who is the local hero of the city.

Surrounded by mountains, it enjoys good weather every day and is known as the sunniest place in Japan.

The city is home to the famous Okayama Castle, also known as Crow Castle, and its most famous attraction is Korakuen Garden.

The local food and fruits are amazing, which is one of the reasons I keep traveling there every year.
